SM Cinema knows that many people now watch movies at home. To get people to visit the big screen again, they have brought a cool new movie experience to the country: ScreenX.
What is ScreenX?
ScreenX is a new and exciting way to see a movie. It gives you a massive 270-degree view of the film.
Instead of the picture only being on the screen in front of you, the movie image expands onto the side walls of the cinema room. This special “surround” setup makes you feel like you are totally inside the movie—like wearing a virtual reality headset, but on a huge scale! SM Cinema made this possible by partnering with a company called CJ 4DPLEX.
Where Can You See It?
The first ScreenX theater in the Philippines is now open at SM Mall of Asia (MOA). It is on the 2nd Level of the Entertainment Mall.
Price and Movies
The new theater opened its doors with the movie Wicked: For Good. Tickets to watch this first feature in ScreenX cost Php700.
